The Landscape Abstracted is a one-day workshop exploring the intersection of traditional landscape painting and contemporary abstraction. Through a series of guided sensory and structural exercises, participants will learn how to deconstruct and translate a reference photo into a personal visual language. We will focus on the fundamental principles of design to build a strong foundation before diving into an expressive afternoon of painting. The day is designed to help painters of all experience levels find their unique voice while deepening their understanding of composition and color. Ultimately, students will walk away with a newfound sense of purpose and intention in their abstract practice.
